The Meantime Girl

She’s the one you call/text when you’re bored because she makes you laugh. She’s the one you talk to when you’re feeling down because she’s willing to lend an ear and be a friend. She’s not the one you call when you are happy with your set of friends or go on a drinking spree or go to discos to spend time with your ex-girlfriends on a Saturday night. She’s the one you spend time with between girl friends you’ve been flirting and looking around, before you find `The One`. She is the one you keep in the MEANTIME.

She’s not one of the guys, not a tomboy, but you don’t look at her as a "real" woman, either. She may be bitchy enough, moody enough, but not sexy enough for you to be proud of to be seen in the light. She’s too laid-back; too easily amused by the same things you are amused with. She’s too understanding, too comfortable. Doesn’t make you feel nervous or excited the way a `real` woman does. She’s cool, nice and funny, and attractive enough that when you’re lonely and need intimate female companionship, she’ll do just fine.
You don’t have to wine and dine her because she knows the real you already, but you still do keep a certain amount of pretending around her which you think that the real you does not deserve her. You’re not trying to get anything of substance out of her. She’s not easy, but you know that she cares about you and loves you very much. And you know that you don’t have to explain yourself or the situation, which she’ll be able to cope with the fact that this relationship has a definite and sure ending that you just could not bear to tell her. Nor even there’s any possibility that you have any real romantic feelings for her.

It won’t bother her that you’ll get up in the morning, put on your pants, say goodbye, and go on flirting with another woman you’ve been mooning over for weeks who finally hinted interests on you. She’ll settle for a goodbye hug and a promise from you that you will be a ‘good boy’.
But deep down, if you really think about it (which you probably don’t.. because to you, the situation between the two of you isn’t important enough to merit any real thought) you know that it’s really not fair.

You know that although she would always tried to explain to you how she feels, it hurts her to know that despite all her good points and all the fun you two have, you don’t think she’s good enough to spend all your quality happy times with. Sure, it’s mostly her fault, because she doesn’t have to give in to your needs - she could really play hard-to-get. Bitch like the rest of them do, if she really wanted to. But you and she both know that she probably couldn’t pull it off. Maybe she’s too short or a too careless with how she looks or wears, or hasn’t the sexy body you always dream about, nor does she even smell good or just really not that type.

Whatever the reason, somehow life has given her a lot of really great qualities but has left out the ones that you really want in a woman. So she remains forever the funny girlfriend, the steadfast companion, the sacrificial lover, and you go on searching for your goddess who will somehow be everything you ever wanted in a woman.

She doesn’t captivate you with her beauty or open doors with her smile.

Mainly, she blends in with the crowd. She’s safe. She doesn’t want to be the center of attention and turn the heads of everyone in the room. But she wants to turn someone’s head. She wants to be SPECIAL to someone, too. We all do.

She has feelings. She has heart. In fact, she probably has a bigger heart than any woman you’ve ever known because she’s had a front-row seat to The Mess That Is Your Life, and she loves you anyway.
She obviously sees something worthwhile and redeeming in you because although you’ve given her up a couple of times and absolutely no reason to be around, she still is.

Ms. Erable

I could take accusations especially when I know it is not true. But, it is the ‘WHY’ they tend to accuse me, was the most thorny part to bear. It is even more distressing when you are being generalized as someone who was once part of your persona--one of your multiple personalities with which you tried to get rid of because you have found the reason to. Just so when you resolve to change for the better, fate makes sure that you don’t.

Being judgmental is embedded in the conventional population. Personally, I have learned to embrace that for I constitute the normal curve a.k.a. the stereotypes. Quite frankly, I don’t give a damn of how people tend to brand me. Nevertheless, when you expect that this is such ‘misery-loves-company’ melodrama population; you still would want to be understood with a handful...or the least, with only one person. You somehow expect that the earthly counterpart of Neo Anderson would understand you inside-out, naked or even fully dressed. You wished that even if the world have turned their backs on you, you still appear triumphant for your source code reads that a unique individual filled the void, someone with equal significance to the elixir of life.

You barely step your feet on the ground as if dozed with 10 times more prozac than a bipolar depressed individual should take. Slowly did it start to surface that your Neo is a just part of those who are damned for mediocrity. A viral infected Agent Smith in the flesh.

“Why do good things come to an end?”, because I am not Cinderella, Belle, Ariel, Snow White... because I’m not in a fairytale storybook. I should not expect for a Prince, it is just so unrealistic, but I never did expect for one. I was expecting for someone who would be bitter to me so long as it is what he truly is. Someone who would tell me that I am so attached with my misery and would still love for who I really am. Someone who would respect my ideas on Evolution and obsession of Charles Darwin, my few commentaries on the Bible, my critiques on political balderdash, my absurd belief on Sigmund Freud and psychoanalysis...

Could someone please see me behind my face and infamous escapades? A lot of people tell me that I’m a difficult person. It is maybe because they expected something less and could not handle more. 1+1=3 ... I am greater than the sum of my parts, fyi.

What a relief to realize that even if life may have been against me at times, but hell yeah, I’m enjoying it.

The Itch

There's an itch in me that I want to scratch and yet I could not seem to find where it's coming from. I have scratched all reachable part of my body and yet, no relief was obtained.  Am I  having delusions of some sort or perhaps psychosomatic ones. I could feel that anytime I could just snap out of this condition, get a knife and kill whoever i want. I need help. I have pent up emotions I could not possibly get out of my system.
I could barely breathe and I feel like my room is getting smaller. I have dry throat and it aches everytime i swallow my spit. There's a one ton element pushing down my chest. I've got the coldest sweat and my hands are shaking beyond richter's scale could fathom. Valium please.

To All Filipinos who dream of genuine service to our people:from Raffy Perfecto

You lost. So What??
Keep the Charge ON!

"Ang Kapatiran" is a shaft of light on our
grim political landscape. During the last
election, the party and its candidates
offered a beam of hope to those who
still dream of genuine service to God, people,
country and environment. That is the reason
why "Ang Kapatiran" has stirred the imagination
of the idealistic sectors of society such as those
represented by Omi Castanar, of the
Ateneo Student Leaders Assembly (ASLA).

As I express my gratitude and admiration
for those who believed in the party and joined me
in supporting it last election, I also would like
to challenge its leadership. Let the
last election be its initial burst of brilliance.
But please keep the fires of its ideals
burning through the sustained flame
of meaningful socio-political-spiritual
involvement in the evangelization of governance
and resurrection of righteousness in politics.
The present political situation and the unfolding
scenario, e.g.; the sooooo slow canvassing of
votes , the swiftt decimation of political activists
through extrajudicial killings and kidnappings, murder
of political leaders, jockeying for juicy positions
by the newly elected "trapos" and their cohorts -
whle the hapless masses continue to endure
grinding poverty- should arrest the attention of
every well-meaning Filipino. I hope "Ang Kapatiran"
can still serve , not only as a beam of light but also a
"force for good." in this gloomy arena.

Every one can contribute a share
towards this pursuit. More for "Ang Kapatiran"
which has generated enough goodwill to be
able to contribute greatly in this regard, in
and/or out of government.

The least that the party can do at the moment
is to rerspond with passion to the call of
Omi Castanar and to every call for the party's
involvement in the Filipinos' struggle for reforms.

In Christ,
Grace

I believe that more than 45 million Filipinos love our country!
"No one can do everything, everyone can do something"

Example:
Buy Filipino-made goods - it will create jobs. We have power in numbers (90 million Filipinos acting together; wow!)

Mabuhay ang Pinoy!

Movie Review: Pirates of the Caribbean 'at world's end'

Ok, I am a frustrated writer and a lame one I should add. I always want to write everything that's on my mind, but I just can't seem to keep on track. It's like I have short-term memory loss or something. Thus, I tend to frequently write down every bit of memory I have left of me. If life so betrays me and my memory be gone, at least I would still find myself reading this and perhaps no memory of it is my writing, laugh about it for its lameness. I could somehow foretell that somewhat in the nearest future I'll be the youngest ever to have an Alzheimer's(pardon the spelling, did I got that right?) disease
Well, anyways, for this time around, I would like to write about the most recent movie that I've watched, some smart people would prefer to call it as Movie Review, but duh, whaddya heck: Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's end. So, here it goes:

Well, compared to Pirates 1  2, I definitely like this, but somehow I just don't like the idea of Elizabeth Swann(Keira Knightley) as being so robust and pirate-like. There was no inkling of hints that she has been well adept with sword-fighting and the likes --- being brought up as an elitist and an aristocrat. She even became a pirate ship captain to replace the short-lived Chow Yun Fat. But what is the movie all about.... this is what I understood despite having been placed in that part of the cinema wherein your attention could barely make it to the screen amidst the heated lovers surrounding you.

The movie started with the hanging of suspected pirates(by order of course of Lord Beckett) and them chanting the anthem for pirates and there's this coin that has been so significant in the movie. I could not figure out, though, the song they are singing, but it did sound pretty melancholic. That scene was a place somewhere in Singapore with Capt. Barbosa, Keira visiting the pirate Chow Yun Fat, they realized that Will Turner has been held captive by them for he tried to steal a priced map from Fat. The map allegedly contained clues and direction of the world's most enchanted places and location of world's hidden treasures like the fountain of youth. They would be needing the map to locate Sparrow. They have been attacked by the Beckett's men but luckily Will and Chow had an agreement to lend him the map in return he is going to give him the Black pearl plus Sparrow.

They continued to their voyage at the end of the world to retrieve Sparrow(wherein he developed some multiple personality issues). Of course, they were able to retrieve him and the Black Pearl in the world of upside-down but they had a difficult time returning to the world of the living. However, Jack was smart enough to decipher the map then, with his help, led them back to the world of the living. When they got back, they were attacked by Chow but Barbossa was able to persuade Chow that instead of him taking the Black Pearl, he should consider taking Calypso, the goddess of the sea, trapped in human form, where Chow thought to be Keira.

Keira thought that it would be for the best to save Black Pearl so he let Chow took her to his ship. When Chow was blabbering about Calypso, she doesn't have a bit of idea on the things he's been blabbering. In the middle of their conversation, their ship was attacked and Chow was deeply injured, and so before he died, he made Keira the heir to his ship and take over his responsibilities. But they were held capture by Davey's ship. where Norrington(Keira's fiance in Part 1) helped them to escape the Flying Dutchman but Norrington was killed by mentally disable Bootstrap Turner.

On the other hand, Will Turner was giving leads to Beckett's men so that they could seize the Black Pearl and perhaps free his father from the bondage under Davey Jones service. But Jack was able to discover his plot. And so, he pushed him out of the ship but gave him his compass so that they could trace their location

Will Turner made an arrangement with Becket that he is going to lead them to the Brethren Court in return that he is going to free his father. Davy Jones who has against it but could only comply because Beckett got his heart. Will likewise mentioned that they are going to free Calypso while they are going to have the meeting in the court. When Davy heavily disagreed on what brethren's to-be decision, Will then realized that Davy Jones was the one who has persuaded the Brethren Court to entrap Calypso.

Prior to that, the witch told the crew in the Black Pearl that Davy Jones was tasked by Calypso, the goddess of the sea, to collect the souls who have died in the sea for her. She made him Captain of the Flying Dutchman and that he is given a chance to be with his love one after ten years. When after ten years, Jones showed up in their spot but Calypso was nowhere to be found. Due to hatred, he persuaded the court to trap her for he knows how to in return, the Pirates will take control of the sea.

But they didn't realize that the witch was Calypso herself in human form and that she made an arrangement with Barbossa that she is going to give him his human life back if he is going to help rescue Jack and persuade the Court to give up their 8 treasures of 9 so that she will be freed. Without Jack and Barbossa, she will not be freed for she needs those things to release her. Barbossa tricked the first five to give up their thing-to-which-could-free-calypso, he then only needed Jack's and Keira since they were hesitant to give theirs. Keira likewise raised to the court that they should fight Beckett and restore their pirate rule over the sea. But then, every captain was hesitant in going against Beckett thus they have to elect a pirate king to for under his rule, every pirate will have to comply. When the pirates agreed with it, they voted only themselves but broke the even when Jack voted Keira for being the pirate king, of course, she won and forced the Court to fight Beckett under her rule.

Of course, Barbossa released Calypso for he was able to complete the things when they swapped Jack for Will and snatched Keira's boon. When the war broke -out...I don't like how it was presented for they only highlighted the action between the Dutchman and the Pearl.

To make the story short. Davey pierced Will with his sword, and Jack was able to get a hold of Davey's heart, pierced it and killed Jones' in return. Will dying, the crew of the Dutchman swoon over him as Keira shouting for Will feeling her loss over her husband(Barbossa married them while at the same they were doing some fighting scenes with the antagonists) After Jack returned to the Pearl with Keira...The Dutchman suddenly came out from the sea with the crew transforming to their original human form...

Of course, with joint forces of the Black Pearl and the Dutchman, they were able to defeat Beckett's armada....

Of course, Will could not get away from his responsibilities, so he gave Keira his deadman's chest and promise to be back on land after 10 years...

I think that's about it... If you have not seen the movie... then you should be... please make sure you have seen the first two to avoid confusion. If you intend to understand the movie, you have to keep all ears on it, it's quite confusing actually.

I hope you enjoyed reading, till next time
